The Gardens of Villa Le Corti

The history of Villa Le Corti begins in 1363 when the Tuscan Corsini family purchased the first lands in the heart of the Florentine Chianti. Over the course of seven centuries, it transformed into an architectural and landscape complex whose historical value is recognized by the Italian state. Today, it is the residence of the Corsini family, Duccio and Clotilde, who restored it and opened it to visitors.

The Gardens and The Cellars

The Villa stands majestically at the center of a vast meadow, from where the view expands 360° over the Chianti Classico landscape. Here begins the self-guided tour of the Gardens, leading south to the Italian garden, the vegetable garden, and the orchard, and north to the Romantic gardens of Donna Anna and Don Tommaso.

The so-called Prato (meadow) also serves as the ‘roof’ of the imposing Cellars, designed at the beginning of the 1600s by Santi di Tito, the architect of the Villa. These cellars house the spaces dedicated to wine production and storage, the oil cellar, the tasting rooms, and the Osteria.

Villa Le Corti

Spending time at Villa Le Corti, a successful equation between territory and culture, means experiencing the daily life of a great family.
Built in Renaissance style at the beginning of the 1600s, based on a design by Santi di Tito, it is a national monument and opens its gardens and cellars to passionate visitors. Access to the large, frescoed salons, furnished with antique furniture and paintings, overlooking the inner courtyard, is available by reservation only. Finally, the first floor houses the largest private family archive in Tuscany, which is open to scholars who request access.
